Home Community News Library Fundraiser Huge Success

It was a night of roots music, as the hometown band HWY 19  hosted a fundraiser concert for the Grapeland Public Library at the Little White Church (First Christian Memorial) in Grapeland on Saturday July 21, 2012.  The program featured music by not only HWY 19, but the duo “Andi and Daron,” as well. The music presented throughout the eventing included bluegrass, American folk, gospel and old fashioned country.

For the past three years this band has hosted programs free of charge to the community, albeit, taking donations for various community fundraisers. The band has noted that the library has recently experienced funding cuts and is in need of financial support.  The concert was a huge success, with a full house and even fuller donation plates.

A reception at the Grapeland Public Library immediately followed the event.
