My goal for this week was to hit the weight room a couple times and do some running in between, and I did neither. I wake up early and go to sleep late due to my work schedule and this has really been an obstacle for me concerning these goals.
However, the one thing I have been able to consistently do every day is a descent amount of stretching, cardio, and calisthenics. I have been able to do 150 jumping jacks, 50 push-ups, 50 crunches, 25 dips, and 10 pull-ups every day since last Friday with just a little bit of walking in between workouts.
I returned to my old eating habits throughout the last week, and I began eating large meals every day. I think that my hunger for larger meals is partially due to my increased amount of physical activity over the last seven days. But I will still need to watch how many calories I am taking in so that I am not nullifying the extra exercise I have been doing.
Over the first two weeks of this blog and process I lost a total of 4 lbs, while I have only been able to drop a little over 1 1/2 lbs this week. I would really like to start riding a bike, or running bleachers, at least twice a week if I don’t think I am going to get a chance to make it to the weight room. Both cycling and walking the bleachers should have a dramatically better result on my weight loss, but making the time to do either is the real struggle I am having.
I did some reading over the weekend on how daily meditation can help people with a number of different things, including organization, time management, and stress. This is something I am definitely going to try and am very excited about. I feel like I am gaining some ground, but wish me luck!
