The Houston County Sheriff’s Office has solved a rash of burglary and theft cases with one arrest.

According to a press release, the Sheriff’s Office has solved 10 to 15 burglary and theft cases after the arrest of Curtis Gabehart, 53, of Hardin, Texas when he was arrested in Angelina County and found to be in posession of stolen property from Houston County.

During a interview with a Houston County Sheriff’s Investigator, Gabehart admitted to thefts and burglaries in Houston County, identifying residences that he had stolen items from.

The arrest of Gabehart has also cleared cases from Nacogdoches, Angelina, Cherokee and Trinity counties.

Gabehart is incarcerated in Angelina County at this time. A detainer had been placed on him for Houston County, pending Gabehart’s release from Angelina County.
